New Year with formerhead hunters A journey to the limits of tourism – The Naga in Assam and Myanmar
You have seen everything? Nothing can surprise you? Be careful: This is a program that might impress even you – a trip to the New Years´ celebrations of the Naga at the border region to Indian Assam. Not long ago this journey could have cost you your head as the Naga protected their villages from enemies and nature´s demons with the severed heads of their captured victims. Luckily they have renounced this cult. Today, these hospitable natives award an insight into their ancient traditions through their dances and ceremonies … in their natural habitat, at their traditional New Year´s ceremonies.
